Tockwith Village Hall

Tockwith Village Hall

This fine old building, located in a conservation area, dates back to 1870, when it was originally built as the village school.

It lies at the centre of the village and is a hub for local community activities and private parties.

It is managed by a small group of volunteers who maintain the building for hire at affordable rates.

It is in good order and well decorated inside and out, and it has a lovely garden to the rear.

It is accessible by wheelchair users, has a disabled toilet and a ramp for anyone needing to access room 3 to the rear of the hall.

Parking is limited but on-street parking is available.

Murder Mystery - Borley Rectory Revisited

Borley Rectory was situated in Borley, Essex, until it mysteriously burnt down on 27 February 1939. The rectory had become famous for being the most haunted house in England. Join us on the eve of the first anniversay of BRAS (the Borley Rectory Appreciation Society) when Monty Fitzgerald, the group leader, will be taking the group to Borley to investigate paranormal activity on the ground where the rectory once stood. Will Monty find what he is looking for? Is the professor all she makes out to be? Come and join the group and see if you can spot anything that doesn't ring true.

Arrive 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

£12.50 per person. Includes 3-course meal and coffee.

Contact Margaret on 01423358626 for tickets.
