Our aim at Hovingham Village Hall is to help you make your event a success.
Considerable care has been taken to refurbish the hall to meet the aspirations of a wide range range of users, acting upon suggestions in a village survey (82% of residents responded) and from comments sought from users from further afield. This includes a very large and extremely well equipped kitchen.
We can offer advice, help and support with catering (DIY or contacts for professional caterers), publicity, music and alcohol.
The main hall, with a stage, has a theatre capacity of 140 and a seated meal capacity of 80. A separate room, which holds up to 50 people for talks and 30 for a seated meal, has been refurbished to give smaller events or activities a more homely feel - or to work in conjunction with the main hall. Both have good natural and artificial light plus swift-acting and efficient heating.
There is ample extra space available for marquee extensions.
Hovingham is an attractive, stone-built village, within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whose facilities, include a very pretty, 1,000 year old church for weddings. Road access and parking are excellent.
